Ownership of the efficiency of shipping, receiving and warehousing management, with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, delivering on time shipments, as well as warehouse organization and cleanliness.
Works under moderate supervision and reports to Materials Manager.
This position has access to sensitive and confidential information considered proprietary to the company.
Maintaining strict confidentiality and judgement regarding sensitive materials and matters are essential to this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Supervision of logistics associates, directing daily activities, motivating, training, and evaluating performance.
Coordinate all requirements (within shipping, receiving and warehouse) of customer service department to meet customer requirements for delivery and accuracy of shipments.
Review shipping notices, bills of lading, orders, customer service requirements (all shipping documents) to determine priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods.
Ensure robust management systems are documented and in place to drive accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking to distribution (including to/from third party offsite warehouse) in the logistics system.
Perform Cycle Counting of assigned items, participate in the Physical Inventory Counts.
Become an expert in company ERP system for all logistics transactions, be able to train others on system transactions.
Responsible for dock assignment and check-in/out of all delivery vehicles.
Work with the maintenance department to maintain/repair warehouse equipment.
Ensure all safety guidelines and regulations are maintained and adhered to.
Ensure warehouse area complies with Lean 6S requirements.
Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations.
Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Highly competent in required job skills and knowledge Strong written, verbal, interpersonal communication, and leadership abilities Strong problem-solving, time-management, and planning/organization abilities Ability to perform tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency Forklift operator certification Experience with ERP systems Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook) Experience/Education:

Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat Noise level is usually loud.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
