It is hands on with the animals.
You'd be contributing to the daily flow of the clinic by helping the assistants with our scheduled appointments.
Cleaning is another big part of the job duties.
Additional skills are needed to perform the duties for the position such as animal restraint, record keeping, client communication, and teamwork.
Kennel Attendant
Responsibilities:
Transporting animals to and from the kennels.
Transporting animals to and from owner's vehicles.
Ensuring that the animals have ample, fresh food and water at all times.
Cleaning the hospital, exam rooms, and kennel area.
Grooming, playing with and administering medications to the pets.
Accompanying animals on walks.
Reporting significant changes in patients to the Veterinarian or medical professional on duty.
Kennel Attendant Requirements:
Must be 16 years or older.
Able to work independently.
Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds unaided.
A passion for animal welfare.
Available to work during evenings, and on weekends and public holidays, if required.
